ETFE insulation wire production process

1. Raw materials
The conductor is made of high-purity copper material and stretched through multiple molds using a wire drawing machine to reduce wire diameter and improve strength, ensuring conductivity and mechanical stability.
Using polymer materials such as PTFE and FEP as insulation layers to meet special requirements such as high temperature resistance (-65 ℃ to+250 ℃) and corrosion resistance.


2. Conductor processing
Drawing and Annealing: Copper monofilaments are cold drawn to form a standard wire diameter, followed by annealing treatment (heating to a specific temperature) to enhance toughness and reduce oxidation risk.
Conductor twisting: Multiple single wires are twisted according to rules (such as bundle twisting, concentric compound twisting), and compact structures such as semicircles and fan-shaped shapes are formed through compression technology to enhance flexibility and reduce the outer diameter of the cable.


3. Insulation layer treatment
Fluororesin insulation process: using a cold push production line to uniformly coat the conductor with fluororesin, and then sintering and curing at high temperature to form a dense insulation layer; Through fluororesin film wrapping technology, multi-layer insulation protection is achieved, suitable for high-precision scenarios such as aerospace cables. For new energy cables (such as photovoltaic lines), electronic irradiation technology is used to enhance the heat resistance and mechanical strength of the insulation layer.


4. Cabling and Sheath
Multi core stranding: Twist the insulated wire cores into circular cable cores according to rules, fill them with flame-retardant materials to maintain structural stability, and prevent looseness through binding;
Sheath extrusion: An extruder is used to wrap the cable core with an outer sheath (such as nylon or silicone) to enhance waterproofing, wear resistance, and flame retardancy.
