Can't ordinary insulated wires be buried directly in the wall?

Ordinary insulated wires cannot be buried directly in the wall. Are there any of the following reasons?
* Shorten service life
Cement has alkaline characteristics and will directly act on the insulation layer of wires. After a long time, the insulation layer of wires is prone to aging, embrittlement, and cracking, shortening the service life of wires and causing leakage, short circuits, and other failures.
* Difficult to repair
If a wire buried directly in the wall failed, it would be catastrophic and there would be no way to repair it. The only option is to destroy the wall and dig out wires or lay additional wires.
* Suitable for underground laying cables
If it must be buried underground, you can choose cables suitable for underground laying. But the problem of difficult maintenance still exists.
